How to rotate and save a video using VLC media player?




Whenever we shoot a video thorough a mobile camera or any other digital camera then we might get into a problem that after we play the recorded video in our desktop or laptop computers then it is horizontally tilted. So here we will discuss about the solution of ‘how to rotate and save a video in VLC media player?’



In VLC media player, you can not only rotate the video, but can also convert it into the appropriate degrees and save it into your system in case you want to see it in the future. Hence, you should not supposed to convert it everytime you see the video.


Follow these simple steps given below and you are good to go. 

How to rotate and save a video in VLC media player?


Step1 



First of all, play a video file you want to convert and click on show extended settings (see the image after Step 5button. 



Step2 

In Adjustment and Effects window go to Video Effects tab.




Step3 

In Video Effects sections, click Geometry section.



Step 4 

In this step you will see two options.
1)          Interactive zoom
2)          Transform

Here you should select Transform. 

Now, you will observe that another dropdown called video rotation is enabled.


Step 5

Using this dropdown menu, you can select the degrees according to which you can rotate the video. For example, 90 degrees, 180 degrees and 270 degrees and so on.
How to rotate and save a video using VLC media player?  




Step 6
Now to save the converted video,

Go to Media>Convert/Save or directly press Ctrl+R on the keyboard. Same dialogue box will appear as mentioned below.





Step 7

Now click on add button to add the video file which you want to rotate.  


Step 8

Now choose where you want to store the video clicking Browse and hit Start.

Your video will be converted and rotated in the desired degrees.

Note that you must reset the default settings of VLC player so that in future you will not encounter any flaws.

So, you should go to tools>Preference of press Ctrl+P from your keyboard and then click on Rest Preference and click OK.
